-Angelique Miles

I basically documented my daily life and it resonated with people.

The Interview

MUSA How did you become such a popular social media influencer?
ANGELIQUE I basically documented my daily life and it resonated with people. The impact continues to grow as I evolve.
MUSA Can someone be over exposed on social media? And if so, would that negatively impact their brand?
ANGELIQUE Everyone is different. What works for one person might not work for someone else. Some people choose to share more than others, and that’s okay if it works for them. It’s not one size fits all.
MUSA Do you follow a business daily routine?
ANGELIQUE I work out, field emails, confer with my support team, come up with creative ideas to shoot for content, and I negotiate agreements. Agreements that are a bit more complicated I have my attorney look over.

I’m over 50, but I’m an advocate for living your best life, no matter what age.

My brand is to be a living example of it never being too late to realize your dreams.

MUSA How would you describe the Angelique Miles Brand?
ANGELIQUE I’m over 50, but I’m an advocate for living your best life, no matter what age. My brand started out as fitness, which is still a big part of it, but it has evolved into more of a lifestyle brand. That includes self care, wellness, travel, and beauty. Most of all, my brand is to be a living example of it never being too late to realize your dreams.

“Unbreak My Heart” is one of my favorite music videos I directed. -Billie Woodrow

MUSA As an entrepreneur, what are some of the challenges you faced during COVID?
ANGELIQUE Fortunately, my business wasn't affected. Things never stopped flowing, and for that I am very grateful. My biggest challenge was taking my own photos. I usually work with professional photographers.
MUSA Brand partnerships are extremely lucrative. How do you decide which brand you want to partner with?
ANGELIQUE It has to be a brand that I would actually use or have in interest in, or something of value to my followers.
MUSA Having access to many new brands and products, what trends have you noticed since the pandemic?
ANGELIQUE Home improvement, plants, and cooking. Since we are spending more time at home, everyone wants make their home a sanctuary. Also, working out from home. Online classes, fitness apps, and home equipment are doing very well.
MUSA What advice would you give someone who wants to be a social media influencer?
ANGELIQUE I don’t know if you can and should try to be an influencer. It happens naturally. It’s about consistency and authenticity. I never set out to be one. I posted about my life and it resonated with people.
MUSA What do you see yourself doing in the next 5 years?
ANGELIQUE I don’t plan that far ahead. What I’m doing now didn’t exist 10 years ago. I could never have planned this. I believe whatever I am doing presently will lead me to whatever I will be doing 5 years from now. Technology and the world are changing quick speed. Whatever I will be doing may not even exist yet.
